Birthday Overload

Sunday was such a busy day. We had Tanner’s birthday dinner at Trudy’s and Lulu’s Snow White Birthday Party.
Trudy (my mother-in-law) always cooks the birthday person’s favorite foods and we all get together and have a great time. Sunday was Tanners dinner and he requested salad with chicken, mashed potatoes, wheat rolls, and chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. A strange combination but it was what he wanted. LOL.

So once we were done with lunch, Ron, Kenzie and I rushed off to Mid-town to Lulu’s 3rd Birthday Party. It was so much fun. Elaine came up with some great ideas to tie the party to the movie. The kids got pop paper every where so they could whistle while they worked to clean up the mess. After they cleaned up the paper, they went to dig for treasure outside. Once they found treasure, back inside to make magic mirrors. After all the children were finished gluing their treasure to their mirrors, it was time for cake and presents. Thanks for a great time Elaine and Lulu.

Tanner’s birthday

Tanner’s birthday was Monday. We celebrated by going to the Covington Christmas Parade with him and Joell. Then we (Ron, Kenzie, Joell and I) took him to Wal-Mart to pick out something special. We had a great time. It’s hard to image that he is already 8, man time flies. Kenzie nice and warm under her blanket.

Toys for Tots Party

So it has been a busy week here at the Davis house. Saturday night we had the privilege to spend the evening with our friends from the BBQ team. It was a Toys for Tots party hosted by Tommy Beck and several other members of the team. It was great seeing everyone outside of Memphis in May. Susan of course dressed in an amazing totally out there dress and there was also a Hanukah Harry. We have some amazing characters on our BBQ team. It was a lot of fun and all for a great cause. Enjoy the photos.

Making Christmas Cards

Well its hunting season, so that means my hubby and his brother is camping somewhere in Perry County, TN, all for that prized BUCK. I think they are crazy for camping in 20 degree weather but they seem to like it. I guess “like” is more like tolerates it. With Ron and David off hunting, Joell and the boys came over last night. We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas, ate pizza, and made homemade Christmas cards. It was so much fun. I love when they come over to hang out. Kenzie really loves it when they come over, she has some one to wrestle and chase around the house. I think she is secretly telling me she wants a sibling. LOL.

First Post

Well I guess since I created a blog, I should actually write something. This weekend, we did a little shopping. We picked out this years Christmas ornaments. Our family ornament is a Snowflake. We bought Kenzie a Tinker Bell ornament, since we have recently discovered she LOVES Tinker Bell. We have seen the movie 12 or 13 times and everyday as soon has her little feet hit the floor “Watch Tinker Bell Momma, Momma, Tinker Bell”. She is such a silly girl. Ron’s ornament is a bear camping; since hunting season started he has been camping a lot, in the crazy cold temps, but it has paid off. My ornament is a rustic snowflake, I found while shopping at Target. If you haven’t figured out by now we have a very eclectic tree.
Until next time.
