February – It was confirmed that I was definitely pregnant, due in September. Joell and I volunteered at the American Heart Association Ball. I had the privilege of photographing the event and Joell was my assistant. We had a great time. Joell and I also took a day trip to Nashville to attend the Chords of Hope – Band against MS concert. We also went to the Capital and to the Parthenon.
March –Nausea. Lots and Lots of Nausea. We started work on the upstairs again, a project that was 6 years in the making.
April – We found out we were having another girl. Doctor ordered monthly ultrasounds, due to the complications I had when I was pregnant with Mackenzie. Ron and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. Lots more nausea.
May – May Day Flood. Memphis in May BBQ Festival, our Team won 3rd place in seafood. I experienced the worst sunburn I have ever had in my life. (2 hours in the sun without sunscreen, OUCH!) Even more nausea.
June – Nausea…Nausea and even more nausea. House bounded because of record heat.
July – The upstairs was finally completed. Mackenzie had her teeth cleaned for the first time. If you can believe it, LOTS more nausea, even with a prescription of Zofran.
August – My family and friends gave me a baby shower. Mackenzie moved into her new room. Ron turned 32. Katie Laine Davis made her grand depute August 26 at 8:08am, weighing 9lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long.
September – I turned 32. My best friend Sam came home for a visit.
October – Mackenzie turned 4. Deer season opened, so the saying “We interrupt this marriage for Hunting Season” Never rang more true.
November – Mackenzie and I attended the Veteran's Day Parade. Thanksgiving, We celebrated with a stomach bug.
December – LOTS of holiday activities.
So that was a rough recap of 2010. We lived a very boring life due to the nausea, heat and having a new born baby, but 2011 we are going to change that.
